The weekly high school football honor roll highlights some of last weekend's top performances from around Rhode Island:
MIKE DUBLIN
Portsmouth
Dublin, a senior linebacker, made 14 tackles, including three for losses, and forced a fumble as his defensive effort sparked the Patriots to 24-14 upset of previously undefeated East Providence in Division I action.
JOSH GILKENSON
Moses Brown
The speedy junior running back/wide receiver scored two touchdowns and compiled 212 all-purpose yards, (136 rushing and 76 receiving) helping the Quakers improve their Division III record to 2-0 with a 27-8 victory over Narragansett.
DAVE BUBAR
Johnston
The senior quarterback threw three touchdown passes, leading the Panthers to an 18-12 victory over Central in a showdown between undefeated Division II-A teams.
RICARDO GARCIA
North Providence
The junior running back rushed for 191 yards on 26 carries and scored two touchdowns leading the Cougars to a 20-14 Division IV victory over PCD/Wheeler/Juanita Sanchez.
MIKE MALOOF
Hendricken
Maloof scored one touchdown and tossed a TD pass as the Hawks improved their Division I record to 3-0 with a 17-8 victory over Cranston East.
