PAWTUCKET - Bay View senior Rebecca Curran successfully defended her R.I. Interscholastic League girls state singles tennis title Sunday as she posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory over North Kingstown junior Hannah Zangari in the championship match of the state tournament at Slater Park.

Curran's Bay View teammates, Andrea Clark and Brianna Pelletier, captured the state doubles title with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over the Mount St. Charles duo of Aimee Barone and Tara Martin in the title match of the doubles tournament, also held at Slater Sunday afternoon.
