La Salle girls, Hendricken boys win cross country titles

FOSTER - The La Salle girls pulled a surprise and the Hendricken boys delivered as expected as the Lady Rams and Hawks captured the team titles at the Interscholastic League state cross country championships Sunday.
La Salle, sparked by individual champion Molly Keating, captured its third straight girls title by upsetting national ranked Barringtron 41-49.
In the boys competiton individual champion Jake Sienko led Hendricken to a commanding 41-point advantage, 45-86, over second place Barrington.
