Wet weather washes out field hockey, soccer games

Today's rainy weather has prompted changes in the schedule and venues for some field hockey playoff games and a girls soccer game.

This afternoon's Division I field hockey games have been moved to Thursday.

East Greenwich and Bay View will play at 5 p.m. on Thursday at Cranston Stadium, followed by Barrington vs. North Kingstown at 7.

The Division II games scheduled for Thursday have been moved from Cranston Stadium to Classical. Pilgrim and Classical will play at 5 p.m., followed by Smithfield-Wheeler at 7.

Today's scheduled girls soccer Division I playoff game between La Salle and North Kingstown has been moved to Thursday at 6 p.m. at La Salle.

The girls game will be played following the boys Division I playoff game between La Salle and Cumberland, which is scheduled for 4 p.m.
