South edges North for Division I volleyball crown

South Kingstown nipped North Kingstown, 3-2, for the Division I volleyball title. The Rebels won 21-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-23, 15-10. Sam Gross of the Rebels had 17 kills and was the tournament MVP. Casey Barlow had 18 kills and won the match with a short dink into the middle of the North Kingstown court. Middle hitter Nick Cicchese had 9 blocks and setter Ben Gross 55 assists.
