CRANSTON - Barrington took all the major prizes at the Interscholastic League state championships Wednesday as the Eagles captured the team title and Barrington senior Ed Hjerpe won the individual state championship.
Led by Hjerpe's 36-hole total of 144 the Eagles won the team title by 36 strokes over second place Hendricken, 596-632. East Greenwich finished third with 651.
Hjerpe won the individual title with a two-stroke margin of victory over Toll Gate's Tyler Cooke and his Barrington teammate Jared Adams.

Thank God a guy won and not a girl who played from the ladies tees that were 20-50 yards ahead on every hole. What a joke and injustice that was last year.
