Cumberland wins Division II tennis title

PAWTUCKET - Cumberland won its first state boys tennis title in five years as the Clippers posted a 4-2 victory over Westerly in the title match of the Interscholastic League Division II team tournament Monday at Slater Park.

Singles victories by Tim Luz and Eric Laboissoniere and doubles victories by the teams of Patrick Murray-Patrick Geddes and Kyle Eaton-Ben Proctor gave Cumberland its four points.

The victory completed a perfect 18-0 season against Division II competition for the Clippers this season.
