Hope girls' 4x100 lowers own state mark at Penn Relays

The Hope High girls' 4x100-meter relay broke their own R.I. state record in that event yesterday at the Penn Relays track meet in Philadelphia. The Blue Wave quartet of Lateisha Da Cruz, Jasmine Marrow, Royal Cheatham and Angie Quiah clocked 48.68 seconds to finish eighth in the Small Schools race. Hope held the previous state mark of 49.03, clocked in 2007. Marrow was also a member of that team.
