Friday is the deadline for Honor Roll nominations

Rhode Island high school principals and athletic directors are reminded that Friday (May 1) is the deadline for submitting your school's nominees for the 2009 Providence Journal Honor Roll Boy and Girl awards and the 2009 Dick Reynolds Correspondent award.

Each Rhode Island high school can nominate one male and one female member of their Class of 2009 for the Honor Roll Boy and Girl awards, which recognize the top senior student/athletes in the state.

The Dick Reynolds Correspondent award is presented to a senior who assisted in the reporting of the results and statistics of at least one varsity team from his/her high school to the Providence Journal sports department. The award is named in honor of the late Providence Journal sportswriter Dick Reynolds.
