Ex-Mountie Ryan earns All-CACC softball honors

Former Mount St. Charles softball star Kelly Ryan, who is now playing at Caldwell College, has been named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference first team.

The rookie earned the starting position in centerfield this season, where she has recorded five assists. Hitting .323 in the leadoff spot, Ryan ranks second on the team with 54 hits to go along with her 13 stolen bases and team-leading 15 sacrifice hits.

The Cougars (32-14-2) have earned the No. 2 seed in the CACC Tournament, which opens today at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J. Caldwell was slated to play seventh-seeded Wilmington University this morning at 10.
