La Salle advances to state championship game

PROVIDENCE -- La Salle dominated North Kingstown from start to finish to advance to Sunday Division I girl's basketball state championship game, beating the Skippers, 62-29.

The Rams began the game with an 18-4 run and never let up. The Rams led 29-16 at halftime and were never in any danger of losing its lead in the second half.

Jameila Dillon (18 points) and Tory Jones (12 points) provided a stellar one-two punch for the Rams. Taylor Bastien led North Kingstown with seven points.
