Ex-Hawk Freeman world leader in weight throw

Former Hendricken All-Stater and Manhattan College All-American Jacob Freeman is currently the world leader in the men's 35-lb. weight throw with a distance of 24.48 meters (80 feet, 3.75 inches).

The East Greenwich native still holds the top National Catholic High School all-time record (216-2) for the boys outdoor hammer (Intl/16lb), as well as the Rhode Island and New England High School all-time marks for both the boys outdoor 12-lb. hammer (77.20 meters or 253-3) and boys outdoor 16-lb. hammer (65.89 meters or 216-2).
