Dudzik leads Prout to Division III hockey title

PROVIDENCE -- Senior Hunter Dudzik scored four goals and assisted on one and led Prout to an 8-3 victory over Mt. Hope for the Cox Sports Frozen Finals Division III Championship Wednesday night at Providence College's Schneider Arena.

Prout won the best-of-three series after losing the second game, 6-5, in overtime Tuesday night. The Crusaders won the first game, 5-3.

Taylor Polhemus with two and Christopher Colardo and David Horsfield also scored for the champions.

Christopher Dugan, Edward Botelho and Kyle Gasior scored for Mt. Hope.

Prout goalie David Maar made 19 saves, Patrick Gaudreau topped 26 Prout shots.
