Deadline for girls sports teams grants is July 17

The deadline for high school girls sports teams to apply for a Women's Sports Foundation GoGirlGo Ambassador Team award is July 17.

The GoGirlGo awards are presented to girls teams that demonstrate leadership in their communities by inspiring girls to get involved in sports and physical activity.

Each year the Women's Sports Foundation, in conjunction with Gatorade, awards $2,500 grants to 20 recipients of the GoGirlGo team awards. Last year the La Salle girls basketball team was one of the 20 recipients of the $2,500 grants.
