Billy Baron to play Sunday in regional All-Star game

Hendricken's Billy Baron will be a member of Team South in this weekend's New England High School Boys All-Star Challenge at Blake Arena in Springfield, Mass. Baron's Hendricken coach, Jamal Gomes, is one of two coaches on Team South.

The event, presented by Russell Athletic, includes separate games for all-stars from traditional high schools (that game tips off at noon) and prep schools (which tips off at 3:30, and will include St. Andrew's guard Nyheem Sanders. Baron will play on a team mostly comprising players from Connecticut, against a team made up of players from Massachusetts and Maine.

There will also be a dunk contest and 3-point shootout at 2:30.

Tickets will be on sale day of game for $8 adults and $5 students/seniors.
