Former Rhode Islander impressed by Meo's Mound Performance

Randy Clemens, a Ponganset High grad who now lives in South Carolina and loves baseball writes this about former Cranston West star Anthony Meo's impressive start as a college baseball pitcher for Costal Carolina University against Southern Illinois last week.
"He retired the Salukis in order in the 1st and 4th; threw first pitch strikes to 12 of 23 batters; his fastball was in the neighborhood of 90 mph while his slider came in around 85; set down 14 of the last 18 batters he faced and left the game with a 13-1 lead.
Meo, a two-time Cranston West All-State pitcher, gave up only one run and two hits in his six innings on the mound.
