Figure skater now a La Salle hockey player

La Salle freshman Sydney Galletly had never played ice hockey before this winter. She was a figure skater. But she joined the Rams hockey team and spent most of the season learning skills and practicing with the other seven reserves at one end of the rink.

That all changed recently when a regular left school and coach Dick Ernst plugged Galletly into his rotation. She's getting the hang of the game. Saturday night at the Cranston Ice rink she scored two goals in 56 seconds in the second period of La Salle's 10-2 victory over Cranston Co-op.
