Exeter/West Greenwich leads Middletown, 20-6, at halftime in Division IV Super Bowl

Exeter/West Greenwich has dominated the first-half action in the Division IV Super Bowl. The Scarlet Knights scored with 9:27 left in the first quarter on a 4-yard touchdown run by quarterback Zack Hornoff, which followed a fumble recovery by Joel Lake. Adam Sweeney ran in a 2-point conversion to give Exeter/West Greenwich an 8-0 lead.
On their next possession, the Knights went 67 yards on 11 plays, with Sweeney scoring on an 8-yard run. Hornoff later capped off a 57-yard, eight-play scoring drive with an 8-yard touchdown run to make the score 20-0.
Middletown's only significant play on offense came with 30 seconds left in the half, when quarterback Andrew Ponte connected with running back Rico McCray on a 57-yard touchdown pass.
