Your turn: Should fast-pitch pitchers throw from 40 feet or 43?

Consistency is the key. If high Schools go to 43 then the local club teams need to go to 43. You can't ask the players to go from one to the other. The other factor to keep in mind is the upkeep of the fields. You don't want fields constantly being adjusted with the rubber being picked up and leaving a hole in the field. Fields are mainly taken care of by volunteers and this would be one more thing to make sure they get right.

My opinion on where the distance should be set at is 43. There are some pitchers that end up around 35 by the time they are done with the follow thru. For safety sake we need to move it back the 3 feet.
