Warwick Vets Edges La Salle for First Fast-pitch Crown

Senior Jenna Bassett drove in the game-winner, as Warwick Vets captured its first state crown in only four years of playing fast-pitch by defeating La Salle, 1-0, in the Amica Insurance R.I. Interscholastic League Division I Championship, today at Rhode Island College.

Sophomore pitcher Casey Doyle earned the win, scattering eight hits and striking out eight.
